Whiplash is one of the most common motor vehicle accident injuries. While most people are familiar with this injury, many don’t fully understand what it can do to their body. This injury typically occurs as the result of a sudden force that causes rapid forward and backward movement of the head and neck. While not always the case, this is most common when one vehicle is struck from behind by another. The people in the lead vehicle are at risk for whiplash.
