- My job requires a lot of heavy lifting or repetitive movement and my back has been hurting for this. Is a claim for my back injury covered?
The question is whether your injury is a work injury or something unrelated to your job. If it is considered a work injury under worker’s compensation law, your claim would be covered. A work injury can be a specific accident or it can happen over time as a result of the type of work you are exposed to. Repetitive type work activities can either be the direct cause of your condition or can be a contributing factor to making a non-work related injury even worse which can be considered a work injury and entitle you to compensation. Either way, if it can be somehow connected to your work activity, you may be entitled to compensation.
