The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) was developed to assist families and individuals injured or killed due to adverse reactions following vaccination. This is a highly specialized and technical area of law that often requires the assistance of a well-trained attorney in both the injuries caused by the vaccines as well as the legal process required for compensation. Not every lawyer is able to represent you in a Vaccine Injury Compensation claim, as this program resides under the US Court of Federal Claims. Regardless, sometimes people are hesitant to seek compensation, fearful of the financial risk. Lawyers can be expensive, and the legal process of the VICP can be difficult to understand. For most legal matters, lawyers charge by the hour regardless of the outcome, or take a portion of your settlement.
The Vaccine Injury Compensation Program is different.
All attorney’s fees and costs are paid for by the Vaccine Program, separate of your recovery. This is true even if you do not win the case. As long as there is a reasonable basis for filing your claim, your costs will be covered by VICP.
Krueger Hernandez & Thompson SC can help you so you don’t have to do this alone. Additionally, legal costs associated with your claim are covered by the program, so there is no financial risk to you. If you or a loved one are suffering from an injury following vaccination, and want to file a claim in the VICP you must do so within 36 months of the first sign or symptom of your claimed injury.
