Renee Nehring, Paralegal, is an estate planning paralegal with a passion for making a difference in her clients’ lives. Her legal journey began in 1995 as a skilled litigation paralegal focusing on civil litigation, vaccine litigation and family law, but in 2017, she discovered her true calling in estate planning, trust administration and probate. Renee is truly devoted to assisting clients in these matters and her experience enables her to guide families through the support they need during an emotional process whether creating their own estate plan or dealing with the loss of a loved one. Renee’s dedication shines through, making a positive impact on their lives and securing their legacies for generations to come.

Renee’s roots in a small town community have had a profound impact on her life and career. Having grown up in the close-knit community of Hillpoint, Wisconsin, she developed a strong sense of community and understanding of the importance of trust, compassion, and empathy in her profession. These values have shaped her approach as an estate planning paralegal, allowing her to connect with clients on a personal level and provide them with the support they need during critical times in their lives.

Outside the office, Renee finds solace on the golf course, where she hones her skills and enjoys the beauty of the game. She cherishes moments spent with her husband and two wonderful children. Nicki Young

Nicki Young is a dedicated and detail-oriented paralegal who is committed to helping others and supporting clients through their estate planning journeys. Prior to her legal career, Nicki worked for many years at her family’s private wealth advisory firm and earned her post-Baccalaureate paralegal degree. These experiences built a strong background in both the legal and financial sectors and Nicki has enjoyed combining the two through working with Krueger Hernandez & Thompson.

Like the rest of the KHT team, Nicki understands the importance and value of Legacy Wealth Planning over traditional estate planning. She is passionate about working with clients to develop and create their personal legacies, providing them with the opportunity to leave a mark that will guide, inspire, and empower future generations. Nicki believes individuals and families have so much more to leave behind for their loved ones beyond peace of mind through financial security, and encourages clients to share their stories, wisdom, and accomplishments with generations to come. Understanding that estate planning can be a daunting process, she is quick to offer a comforting presence and listening ear while supporting others through some of life’s hardest moments and decisions.

Outside of the office, Nicki is active in giving back to the local community and enjoys working with various nonprofit organizations in the Madison, Wisconsin area. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, their daughter Scarlett, and their beloved pets, a dog named Copper and a cat named Crowley. She also enjoys cheering on her alma mater Wisconsin Badgers football, hockey, and volleyball teams.

Ashley Maglio

Ashley Maglio is a dedicated young professional who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She began her career in the legal field with Krueger Hernandez & Thompson, SC, where she supports the team in the area of estate planning. Ashley was drawn to this field because of her desire to help individuals and families find peace of mind for the future, she brings enthusiasm and a fresh perspective to helping clients navigate their planning needs.

Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys visiting her family and friends in Milwaukee and spending time with her dog, Baxter.

Michelle T.L. Hernandez

Michelle T.L. Hernandez is one of the original partners of the firm with over 25 years of legal experience, focusing her legal practice in the area of estate planning. Michelle has always utilized her extensive skills to provide clients with customized estate plans that gives them peace of mind in knowing they have implemented a plan that protects their assets while they are alive and transfers those assets in the most effective manner to their loved ones after they are gone.

Michelle has been an active member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, a national organization of attorneys dedicated to estate planning excellence, and has served as a member of the Academy’s esteemed Board of Governors.

Michelle is now Of Counsel with Krueger & Hernandez SC and still continues to bring a wealth of estate planning and estate administration experience to the law firm.

Mark Krueger spent his career representing individuals with compassion and conviction. He co-founded Krueger & Hernandez SC with Michelle Hernandez, and together they built a firm that prides itself to be a safe haven for all of our clients, regardless of the legal issues involved.

Mark’s dedication to his profession not only earned him the recognition and respect of his staff, clients and community, but it also drove him to be one of just a few attorneys in the United States to represent vaccine recipients who suffered adverse reactions from across the country and globe. Taking on the challenges of this unique and extremely specialized area of law only amplified his wisdom, strength and tenacity. Mark always strove to do his very best, to live life to the fullest, and to appreciate the things in life that matter the most.

Today, Krueger Hernandez & Thompson SC continues to follow the path paved for us by our leader and mentor.
